I agree there are other ways to fast .. or to give up in order to focus on God and give Him priority. I like your ideas of giving up t.v., computers etc. <br />There are so many ways we put things or people above God. I know that the first thing that most people think of when they hear the term fast they think that it pertains only to not eating. I&#39;m kind of a perfectionist. But, I get so frustrated when people fail me or I fail myself. It is so wrong and it keeps God from doing what He wants in our lives for His glory. The glory should always go to God and not ourselves, that is why He sometimes keeps His hands off our situations. And when we give up, that is when God steps into the picture. Just like what you&#39;ve shared. I still have so much to learn when it comes to truly trusting God. I always prayed to that Spirit to take that person out of our lives and he did. God gave us a very special father ED, he was a very special person in my life. Two weeks ago I met my birth Father and sister. My mother did a wonderful thing by taking me away as I was able to grow and mature into a believing person, a practicing spiritual person and tell my story when needed. I am a practicing Catholic and proud of it. I am a christian and can tell the world.
